Simon Competed in his first championship year in 2002, winning the Norman Watt & Club Championship on a 60cc Kawasaki converted to an automatic.

He then repeated the feat winning the same championship in 2003.
In 2004 he progressed to the 65cc Ulster cadet championship, winning that on a TAS suzuki.

Simon_KTMIn 2005 he switched to a 65cc KTM, winning the Irish and Ulster Junior 65cc championships in his first year in the class.

Simon competed in the Belfast Supercross 2005 at the Odyssey Arena. He had two extremely successful evenings in this event, gaining three first places and a third place to be crowned overall winner and 'Prince of the Odyssey' on both nights.

For 2006 Simon moved to the British Championship 65cc class. Having made good progress he suffered a major setback during the 3rd round of the Championship at Commerton Farm. He was 2nd in the first race achieving the fastest lap & 5th in the second race. Disaster struck on the second day of racing when Simon damaged the cruciate ligament of his left knee.

Having taken the rest of the season off Simon has returned to the TAS Suzuki team for the 2007 season. He will be riding a 85cc Suzuki in the familiar TAS colours. In early outings Simon has shown good form on the larger capacity machine. Unfortunately Simon suffered another injury which effectively ended his 2007 season.
